Happy New Year 2018

I prepared a fantastic firework picture for my New Year photo, but how could I go past my long suffering blip subject of my daughter on this perfect New Year's day?
We took the dogs to the beach, swam with friends, and generally chilled out on the sand on a lovely 27C day.

It almost all ended in tears when we dropped into the holiday seaside village of Barwon Heads for a quick errand. It took me ages to find a car park - the place was nearing holiday maker gridlock, so to make the most of our visit , we took the chance to eat hot chips by the water. A very Aussie way to spend a New Year's Day.
