Farewell 2017

Oh gosh, I really struggle with New Year's Eve. I think this was the first year in a few years that my plan for the evening wasn't being in bed, fast asleep, as the clock struck. I blame it on being a morning person. Night owls would be just as grumpy if they had to celebrate at 6am, which would generally be my preference.

Anyway, a fun party hosted by the Curtai, including a quizmaster special from TJC, meant that I made it until midnight. Hoorah.

It's been a good year on the whole (global politics aside). We lost Grandad at the beginning of 2017 but rejoiced in knowing that he would be spending the rest of eternity with his saviour.

There have been many highlights and special times and I leave 2017 feeling humbled and grateful. Caty G entered the world this year! A whole new human being!

I was able to travel to Canada and spend precious time with old friends, I finally managed a PB in the best half marathon I've ever run in and I had the privilege of joining a team travelling to Malaysia. Work has been amazing and I've enjoyed my new team so much that every day has been joyful and brilliant.

And I've moved into my beautiful new home! So grateful! I hope and pray that it will be a blessing to others over the next year and beyond.

Thanks, 2017.
