Shroud II, 2014
By Sara Radstone (b. 1955)
J, F and I tramped on a cold and snowy morning to a brilliant exhibition at the renovated York Art Gallery and Centre of Ceramic Art; where this piece was being shown with more of her work.
In the main galleries, there was a second, equally fantastic exhibition "Uncanny Landscape" featuring Paul Nash's work. Superb stuff; he also photographed as well as his more widely know wood cut etchings.
The landscape exhibition is curated by John Sterzaker, and some of his dyptych photography work was also on display. Great pairing, and in fact reminded me strongly of another artist some of us know...
Extra: Just in case you prefer more focus.
