Catch of the Day

A miserable wet morning left me thinking I wouldn't get out today but after lunch the sun came out, so I headed for the nearest lake for a bit of exercise :-)
I expected it to be really busy but there was hardly a soul there ...........I was amazed to see that the river had burst it's banks and completely flooded the large meadow that separates it from the lake and the two had merged to form one massive body of water...........so no river walk for me, I had to content myself with watching the water birds on the other lake a bit further over ( thankfully not flooded at all ).
Lots of different birds to see and again it was a tough choice on what to blip ..........the Cormorant won out in the end because I don't blip many of those but you have the alternative choice as an extra :-))
