The Last of Christmas

These few roses and orchids are all that remain of the Christmas centerpiece that graced the dining room table.  I dismantled the rest, as it was looking limp and tired.  Farewell also to those beautiful white flowers
from last week.  I have left our tiny tree up so that Nora can see it when she comes with her parents on New Year's Eve, but other than that, we have been thoroughly de-Christmased!

Speaking of farewells, I absolutely cannot wait for this blasted year to be over and done with.  It's been the worst year of my entire life, and I won't be the slightest bit sorry to see the back of it.
