Contrast

Compared to the last few days where I've been out riding and it's all been blue skied an' clear, this morning's jaunt was bleak as owt - a leaden sky, freezing, rainy, snowy and it never really got light at all. Headed out on a 76km route that I've done many times before and it was all good (obviously, it's always good!) but I certainly felt like I'd earned my hot bath and pain au chocolat and all the other refueling essentials by the time I got home for about fifteen minutes before...

...straight out into town with my lot for ice skating (the girls at least, I just watched) with their own skates for the first time, and then a quick nip into Fopp for Kraftwerk CDs - it's an addiction, but I've got it down to 2 a week, I can handle it, not a problem...yet - and coffee and cake at one of Edinburgh's premier chocolate-specialist cafes. Pretty, pretty good :-)
