A Winter Sky

I opened the curtains this morning and thought I should break the ice on the pond.
However, I got distracted when the phone rang . 
It was the MIL.
She wasn't feeling well again and was asking if I could pick up her cat from the cattery.
So we had a trip to see her before going to get the cartoon cat.
We then spent time with her before we headed off to get some fuel before our trip down south tomorrow.
Hopefully the snow will be no worse that this and stays off the roads and on the fields where it belongs.
No matter what happens I will have my winter kit in the boot - for myself and the car.
