Was given this large home made cake as a thank you present for fixing something. The generous giver apologised as they weren't sure if I'd like it iced or not. My goodness, there feels like there's at least a couple of kilos of fruit in it, without adding marzipan and icing. Suspect some booze in there too. Smells fabulous, and after sampling, it tastes that way too. Might not last long, especially when it's cold out, and the cups of tea and coffee are enhanced with another wee slice... or one that's not so wee.

And another kind person (thank you Auntie Helen... no relation) also left some cakes, mince pies and chutney whilst I was out wandering about yesterday. The cakes didn't last long enough to be blipped. Went down very well though.
