Winter's Edge
Another crisp and cold day. A bit more gritting in the morning, but the grit bin has not been filled, so not much I could do. Twin 1 and 2 have gone down to Liverpool, so I am left in a very quiet house for the day.
I went for a walk up to the Braid hills in the afternoon. The snow is quite deep and powdery here. From the top, there is no significant snow north of the Hermitage of Braid. Blackford Hill is just a wee bit lower than the Braids, but has a dusting of snow. Arthur's Seat is high than the Braids, but it too only has a dusting of snow.
From here I walked towards Mortonhall, then took the woodland path back home. The woodland had quite a bit snow, especially in more open parts.
It was too early for coffee, so I went for a wee walk around Fairmilehead Park. The wee people were out on sledges, and the sun was setting (sorry, no more extra photos left for this year). It looked very nice.
