Lovely friends visit
Our lovely friends the Harvey's visited us today, but sadly minus Angus who had to work. They left behind a snowy Cambridge to tackle the sleepy A11 arriving around midday. I'd made an average turkey broth which was warming as rain/hail/sleet hammered down outside.
After a bit of a catch up, some nice fizzy beverages, and a bit more food the weather dried up so we dressed up warmly for a walk. Up into the village and round the block to blow away the cobwebs.
Returning home we settled down to play games, including the office newsletter quiz, which I had specifically not looked at, as Neil does love a quiz. Between the 9 of us we managed 12 1/2 out of 20. Then of course the 'after eight' game and finishing with Taboo. Taboo is a great game to play with a big group of pretty much any age group. We've had it a few years but never tire of it.
More eating and drinking before our lovely friends had to leave just before 10. They won't be home until midnight. We look forward to lots more get togethers in 2018.
None of the photos I took during our games were very flattering, so I've just tasted the raspberry gin Neil made with the raspberries he grew on his allotment. It is delicious. I don't think it will last long!
Thank you lovely Harvey's for today. Look forward to seeing you again very soon xxx
