Towards Cockburn Law
I'm trying hard to find the time to sit and blip but hope do better in 2018!
The morning I took this photograph I was out and about by 9am and glad I was. The rising sun hitting the sloping fields of the neighbour's farm was just glorious. This deserted little farm used to be rented by my husband's family. They had the farmhouse/cottage and round the corner lived the "hill shepherd". It is still possible to peek through broken windows and spy the remains of habitation... an old bed, sideboard, table and an assortment of utensils. A lonely life for that shepherd except when the Edinburgh family arrived, two adults, four children plus several dogs and cat. My husband's family used the cottage for all their holidays allowing the children to be free range all day. A great life and one that we have been enjoying for 5 1/2 years now living on land opposite. No regrets about giving up city living.
Merry Christmas to all Blip friends and best for 2018 when it arrives.
