Nativity

One last Nativity as this one depicts Mary & Joseph leaving Bethlehem with the baby Jesus to return home. Bought this while at the Biltmore Estate a couple of years ago and it was one I had to have because of it being slightly different from the traditional scene.

I was my usual self yesterday, awake and ready to open presents at 5am despite a poor night’s sleep. Kent cooked eggs & sausages for breakfast afterwards.

I called and spoke to my Mum for a while and of course we FaceTime called the grandkids to watch them open their presents from us.

At noon we drove to Deep Run where we had Christmas dinner with Kent’s sister’s family and exchanged presents.

We all took a present and then numbers were given out and you got to claim a gift according to your number. You could “steal” and already open one if you wanted. The best was when guys would get obviously female themed gifts! In the end all seemed to work out well with the stealing and trading.

Today is a quiet day for recouping and reflection
