festive finale

Christmas Day has been quiet and wet. Two damp walks, first in the field and then in Dock Park withJess and  Luke when we went to town to fetch Joe this afternoon. A surprising number of people were out and about - some pubs in the town were open but little else. A few folk out walking their dogs wished us a Merry Christmas.

Luke and I cooked the Christmas meal this evening - I made a nut roast in filo pastry with celeriac mash, red cabbage with apple and chestnuts, and roasted sprouts and carrots, and here is Luke making the mince pies. D did the washing up :-)

Time to sit down in front of the fire now, I think, and have a nice rest..

I have really enjoyed looking at Blip and seeing all the different ways in which people spend Christmas Day all over the world.
