...the birds began to sing

Christmas day is nearly done...it was hard to get out of bed this morning as we hadn't left Ellisland until well after midnight..but I was reading at church at 10am so we had a quick coffee and headed up to Dunscore, and after that for lovely drinks and chat with friends who had no family coming for Christmas this year, so had invited lots of people to be with them before lunch.

I had a bit of a rest this afternoon while Sarah and Luke made the meal. We skipped lunch and went straight for dinner, and they created this elaborate and delicious pie :-) Too good to eat! Joe arrived as well so our family was complete for the first time in many, many months. 

We haven't had time for presents, they will keep until tomorrow.
