The Moorfoot Hills
A dark December day. Woke up quite late. Fortunately not got much to do apart from the washing and bike maintenance. I have to dash in to town for a couple of gifts, which I obtain very easily and I am home before lunch.
In the afternoon, I head out to Cameron Toll to meet my partner. On Frogston Rd, the view to the Moorfoot hills shows the mild weather heading in from the west. No white Christmas. Its really warm for the time of year.
There are a few minutes until the bus at Kaimes, so I walk down the road for a wee while. Houses are being built at the old Liberton Water Works. The old buildings, that were used to access the Springs to provide fresh water in the 19th Century, are being preserved. View Extra 1 large and you can see the history on the building.
I catch the bus ate a nearby bus stop, and have a wee wander around the shopping centre for food and extras for Monday. Also coffee and cake.
