A family day

Luke arrived home last night and it was so good to see him again. He had so much luggage, we put in one load of washing into the  machine and left the  rest to unpack in  the morning. Last night was the first time all three boys have slept in the house at the same time since we moved here six months ago!

Today was a quiet day at home, Luke unpacked and then went for a haircut. I made lunch consisting of a  winter salad with pear, stilton and caramelised walnuts, followed by soup and breads with cold meats and pate. 

I had some fun taking photos of Kevin and Bianca before we went out, as can be seen here. I had booked tickets to the Carols by Candlelight concert at Royal Albert Hall. It is the first time we have been to one of those Christmas concerts and it was great fun, we all thoroughly enjoyed it and sang along heartily to all the carols. We all enjoyed it except for Thomas who is so full of a rotten cold, he could not sing at all! Poor boy, we are all trying to stay out of his way as we don't want to catch his lurgies! We have just got back from London now and it is late and therefore we are all off to bed.
