Waxing Crescent Moon
After listening to Cardiff City lose 2-0 against bottom team Bolton Wanderers, Mrs BB broke her weighing scales and sent me out to buy a new one as she's doing a pile of Christmas cooking.
I headed for Newport and being blipless decided to have a look at The Transporter Bridge. I was disappointed to see the River Usk at low tide but noticed a Waxing Crescent Moon exactly above the middle of the bridge. The cloud was thick and it was a case of waiting for a gap which did show itself and I managed a clear sharp one of the moon which isn't as easy as photographing a full moon!
A Waxing Crescent is the first Phase after the new moon and is a great time to see the features of the moon's surface.
