Heading to work (Day 958)

I wanted a reasonably early start at work this morning, so left the dog wandering duties to my  beautiful wife. Trundling along the Germiston Road, the sunrise was fabulous and I had to stop to get a quick shot over the Loch of Kirbister.
The bathroom fit was going well until I peeled the protective film off the bath to find that the bath is cracked along the top rim. It looks like something has been dropped on if whilst it has been in storage somewhere. It will need to be replaced, which means taking the wet wall off all around it. Bugger.
The customer is remarkably unconcerned, which is a relief. I carried on and got the loo and basin fitted and re-fitted the shower before having a good clear up. I haven't quite finished, and will return in the new year to change a radiator into a towel rail and do a last little bit of wet wall. And change the effing bath.
Back at home, I headed for the shed and started another pass on the carving commission. I tend to hack the letters out in a first pass, then go back over them to tidy them up a bit. Another 3 hours gone, but it looks a lot better now.
More carving in the morning...
