Hot summer's day,

the sort of day you dream about in winter.  Our pre Christmas catch-up with family at Papamoa today, which meant J and I had to have our usual walk around the Mount.  It took much longer than usual as we kept stopping to look at something else and  although there was a gentle breeze it was also very hot. On one side the Pohutukawa (the New Zealand Christmas tree) had mainly finished  flowering, many on the eastern side were just coming into flower.  A lot of people out fishing, kayaking and swimming and sunbathing.  A stunning day.
