A slice of Lesley's life

You can probably tell from her face just how impressed Albi was with being today’s festive feature. A day running around a field at daycare and she seems to have forgiven me fortunately.

Super busy running around jobs morning to be in time to not be at all busy in the afternoon. Even did some admin towards the big return to work in January. Rushing around so much almost forgot I had booked a lovely relaxing Christmas massage. Thanks to the joys of technology a little beep reminded me just in time to make a bit very relaxing dash around there. Really glad I did though as it was relaxing and for once a thousand places didn’t hurt and I could actually enjoy it. And did some useful list planning in between the spacing in and out.

Home for Anna’s friends to arrive and us all to head out to see Pitch Perfect 3. Along with every teenage girl in Richmond and (finally) 2 other adults. What this meant was that there was constant normal level chatter for all of the ads and the trailers and phones on and sometimes even phone torches on! Fortunately the film was good enough to keep them all quiet and to keep me entertained. The girls enjoyed it too. Back here for requested cheese and potato cakes. And to add to the festiveness crackers, Yule log and now they are watching Elf.

Great last day of school for J. Well few hours as they finished at lunchtime after a couple of lessons and an assembly where he got a couple of subject awards which was nice. He then went with a load of friends to someone’s house to eat pizza and watch rubbish horror movies and no doubt talk utter nonsense. All good stuff. He wasn’t quite able to keep going for his planned sleepover but on the plus side he did a great job of managing himself which hopefully bodes well for the upcoming festivities.

And I both found time to lie on the sofa and read and binge watch Gameface, written and starting the wonderful Roison Conarty.
