ANYTHING FOR A DRINK.....

... on another very hot 43 deg C day in Penrith today! We are also up for another one tomorrow so maybe Santa will need to go for a surf to cool off!!!

Anyway..... on the way home from the daughters after preparing this years pudding, found this pair of Corellas in the gutter. By the time I stopped one was busy sucking away at bit of moisture under the leaves.
This confirms.... firstly it was a real hot day, and secondly why we say these birds are a bit "whacko"!!
Why, well the mighty Nepean River was no more than twenty metre behind me as I took this shot! Why not fly a bit more and dunk in the river??
