Shaggadelic

A pair of shags (cormorants) on the Christchurch estuary today. There were quite a few birds out on the estuary but I was a bit too early and the tide was a bit far out - I went away but by the time I got back I was too late and most of them had left. Typical of me! These two were hiding in the inlet and I couldn't go past those eyes!

I went for a drive around to Sumner today - the first trip there since the earthquakes. Some of the sights are devastating but there are equally some that are heart-warming.
