Christmas Concert
Another outing for the Manningtree High School Choir, this time at St Mary's Church, Lawford for their Christmas concert. Thankfully, Sunday's snow had cleared sufficiently to make the drive up Church Hill without trouble, but lots of ice remained in the car park...
The concert itself featured classic Christmas songs and contemporary numbers from recent films such as Nativity (featuring a solo by Miss I), plus a few instrumentals too. The audience even had the chance to participate, playing ukulele along to Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer (they had plenty to go around, but sadly ran out before reaching Miss C and I - ukuleles, not red noses although it was cold in the church).
Top marks to the music teachers and students alike. They're clearly a talented bunch and have a lot of fun with their music. The soon to move up to High School Miss C exclaimed "I'm definitely doing choir when I start next year!"
