Engineer Officers

The memorial stands on the edge of East Park, Southampton, found on a short evening stroll in search of a blip. The inscription reads:

TO THE MEMORY OF THE ENGINEER OFFICERS OF THE R.M.S. TITANIC WHO SHOWED THEIR DUE DEDICATION OF DUTY AND THEIR HEROISM BY REMAINING AT THEIR POSTS 15 APRIL 1912.

How poignant thought I and so fortunate to be hurrying off to bed.
