Christmas Dinner

As we are going away for Xmas we had most of the family around for an early Xmas lunch . 
The day was not without its excitement - we discovered at 7 am that our frozen 7kg turkey had not defrosted properly so the chief and I were at M and S to but at 8am to buy 3 turkey crowns whilst the original bird has been relegated to the garage to continue to defrost . 
We'd 19 for dinner . My parents , my sisters and their offspring and 2 of our 3 children + 2 grandchildren .  
The M and S turkey crowns were great ( why do we bother with a whole bird - doubt we will in the future ) , my dad's wine slipped down nicely and we rounded up the evening with some party games . A great and unforgettable day . 
Everyone was given a job to do ... Evie was in charge of handing out the after dinner sweeties ..
