The Beauty of The Earth
A total contrast in weather today with the golden colours of autumn and blue skies of the last few days replaced by leaden clouds and rain.
When we headed down to Campbeltown to get the week's shopping, the camera was in the car as usual. However the rain persisted and there was little inclination to stand on a wet harbour or elsewhere for what would have been a dull blip. By the time we got home I had decided it was to be a blipless day. After all I was no longer a slave to blip, feeling it necessary to blip for the sake of blipping!
That was until I climbed the steps to the house with bags of groceries and noticed the raindrops on the Kaffir Lilies beside me. I have tried blipping raindrops before and decided to give it another go. I used the wee Nikon, which is rather good on macro, and took dozens of shots although none really excited me. I experimented with flash for a couple of shots and was really pleased with the results. I only wish I had taken more flash shots. However, I played around with the 2 I had and came up with this.
Just goes to show you that even on the dullest of days beautiful features of our planet like this are never far away!
