Red
How could I take Billy back when we were working at Old Trafford! It was a day job today so I raced to Hope for a pre op.....again....and then whizzed through Trafford Park and made it to the session just after the team arrived.
So, when you are red, have a great big smile on your face and are with someone who can get where water can't, it was no trouble getting into the trophy room or the stadium. The health and safety officer came to donate and I managed to persuade him to dress up in my Christmas bling and pose for a photo and then I asked him if he could get me in the trophy room. He said he would get back to me....
It was a manic morning and Steve hadn't re-appeared by lunchtime. Lynn and I nipped out and sweet talked our way past security. It always helps to be in a uniform.....everyone was lovely and they said....yes, come into the trophy room, then they asked if we wanted to go into the stadium. Now, we work in a room overlooking Burnley's pitch, but it isn't a patch on United. I'm not a football person, but it was impressive. I loved the fact that we went through doors marked 'Private' too.....lol.
Then they asked if we wanted to get a photo that is made into a newspaper front page....for free. Lynn, Billy and I became headliners ha ha ha. It was all great fun and I got some great pics. I posted the pics on our NHSBT private site and one of senior nurses tells me to keep Billy and carry on his adventures......what shall I do??? ha ha ha
