Fade to Grey

When my daughter was 11, her crafts teacher in school asked the class to make a model of one of their parents through any medium they liked.

She fashioned me from pipecleaners in full tennis outfit, complete with yellow hair and bright red lipstick.

I have to say she nailed it in my book.

I treasure this so much. But my tennis whites are fading to grey and that's a shame. I give it a gentle clean occasionally but it's showing its age.

Anything my children drew or painted or made from bits-n-pieces for me or my husband gives me a lump in my throat. Gold dust, really.
