Igloos by the Sea

Tonight I met Anne after work for our Christmas night out, and i'd seen that the Brighton Music Hall which is on the beach, has a dozen igloos outside on the terrace.  You can hire one for private use, but they don't actually charge you for them, you just have to pay a £10 per person deposit which is then used against food or drink. 

Anyway, we went down there, not sure if there'd be any available, but as we were early there were.   They're a great concept and are really cosy and warm with little heaters, fur rugs on the benches and blankets.  I was surprised at how strong and rigid they are, but I guess they have to be to survive the winter weather - it's got me to thinking that one would be perfect in the garden as a cover for a hot tub!

From there we went into town and had another couple of drinks before going to Street Thai to eat.  We've never been there before either and it was really good food and only £10 for two courses - I'll definitely go back.

We had a great night and it was made better thanks to American Express who have an offer on with certain small businesses until 17th December, where if you spend £10 on your credit card, they give you £5 back.  So I'd checked on the website where I could benefit and planned our night around it.
