Fisherman's Blues
Another walk for us today, we went this morning because the forecast for this afternoon was very bad. Drove up to the Flotterstone, parked the car and we walked up to the reservoir taking loads of pictures as we went. You will never believe this but we met our neighbours, they were out walking too but in the opposite direction from us. He had a bigger camera than me with a massive lens on it and I was in the middle of taking a picture with my little TZ30 and you know what he shouted over to me, that's a small one Davie (CHEEK!!).
On the way back towards the car park, we noticed these two fishermen out on the water in their wee boat. We stood and watched them for ages, cast after cast after cast but not a fish in sight. Took two or three pictures of them then the man with the rod thought he had caught one but the man steering the boat had turned it too quickly and the fish had escaped. Well, from where I was watching you could see the driver of the boat was getting a right earful. Thank goodness I was too far away to hear what he said to him.
So, a touch of the fisherman's blues right enough for the angler, lets hope they had more joy after we went away.
After looking back at the pictures of the anglers, thought this was the best one for today's blip. A wee song to go along with it today from the album Fisherman's Blues by the Waterboys and the song title, very apt I would say for the fisherman steering that boat Bang on the Ear (THUMP!!).
I would also like to dedicate this to my good friend Roz to help you through this very difficult day (hugs x).
