A Spot of Color

Got on a plane in Quito at 12:30 AM this morning and three stops later (Miami/Charlotte/Charlottesville) I was walking in our actual door at 11:00. Opened the mail, hung out the bird feeders (The Husband won't deal with that when I'm away), had some lunch, took a nap, had tea and after that actually started to feel human. Then of course, I needed a blip - so when I saw this cardinal - who was no doubt relieved to finally find some food laid on again - I took his photo. Not quite as flashy as some of those birds in Ecuador, but definitely one of the flashier ones we have here!
