My treat to myself

I'm facing the second half of my pre op tomorrow. Hoping that it doesn't last longer than an hour and a half so I can get back in time for the sitter to leave on time. I've booked her for two hours.

I'm getting to the point where I just want the whole thing over with. This time next week I might even be back home again, hopefully.
We'll have the live in carer here and the twice daily carers.

The guy in charge of the live in carer was asking if she'd have to look after mum and myself as the cost might need to go up. So I had to explain there would be very little to do for either of us and I've got carers coming in for mum's personal care twice a day. He then started on about whether there would be enough for the carer to do as she could do the personal care. She can't because she couldn't roll mum over on her own.

I think he's probably just making sure she's not going to be taken advantage of. I have explained that we need someone here or I wouldn't be allowed home from hospital.
