Festival of light.

Off to do the food shop , at M & S, this morning, and pleased to find the meals deal for £10 were on. I bought a poinsettia there last week, and when we got up this morning, it was virtually dead. I took a photo of it, with my receipt, and complained. They gave me another one, but I told the assistant. that if this one dies I will be bringing it back again. The one we bought from them last year, lasted for ten months, so we do know how to look after them. The secret is, to  water them from underneath the plant  pot. which is a tip I picked up from Kevin. We didn't stop for coffee, as I wanted to get back to Bridgend, to go to the tree festival. I had to pay the £2 entry fee, which I didn't mind, and I bought a raffle ticket, so fingers crossed. I then went into town, armed with my g/daughters Christmas list. There were quite a few items she wants from Boots, so as they had the spend £50, get £10 of points on your advantage card, it had to be today. I saw my friend, Julia, who was treating herself to a bottle of perfume. As she was undecided, I helped her choose. I did a bit more shopping, and headed towards the bus station, where  I  bumped into Julia. again. As we were queuing to get on the bus, she saw a lady she knew, and Julia asked her if she had bought anything in Boots. She said yes,  to which Julia replied, and so did I. I said, I didn't, to which the lady replied, you know what they do to martyrs!.
