The Colour Factory in action

RedFlash has documented many of these bollards
In 2005 The Colour Factory transformed the original five bollards into works of art as part of the Winchester Hat Fair. With the refurbishment of The Square in 2012 The Colour Factory artists have worked on a further collection of exquisitely painted Bollards. This is the latest.
I think this is Rachael Alexander painting The Sleeping Gypsy by Henri Rousseau. The painting displays the image of a woman asleep on the desert sand with a mandolin at her side and a walking stick clutched in her hand with a lion standing behind her.
I told Rachael about the blips these bollards have attracted and she said it was OK to take some photos. Hope she doesn't mind being featured on Blipfoto. Must go back soon to view the finished article.
