Here We Go Again

I imagine you look at this image (if you can even be bothered) and yawn, thinking ‘not again’, and wonder why Lady Findhorn posts this scene so regularly. Apart from the obvious reason that she has nothing else in the can, it is because it never fails to impress her as she walks the marches before sunrise.
Twenty years ago when she inhabited the old castle, it was the image she saw as she jogged round the Meadows in training for some run or other. Now that she is more circumspect of her back and its sensibilities, she does a power walk, only stopping to try and catch the interesting lightening sky towards the east.

This morning His Lordship asked me why on earth I go out in the dark as soon as I am up. I had to admit that there is something magical about being enveloped in a cocoon of darkness and having the world to myself save for a few other early risers. The world shrinks to the visible space and looks so much more friendly than when it gets light and all is revealed.

When it did finally get light HL and I walked abroad to raid the cash machines again and buy some Christmas cards. I have cut my card list by about 75% from it’s hey day when the stamp cost a fraction of the card, unlike today when it’s the other way round. HIs Lordship has not cut his list..........Lady Scrooge is alive and kicking alone in the Dower House.
