Red-spotted purple butterfly

I believe I'm correct with my identification, but I'm open to correction. It was a foggy start to the day, but by the time I got out walking at Otto Armleder Park, the fog had lifted, and it was a beautiful sunny day. When I was last here in June, I had a wonderful bird-spotting morning. The birds weren't as much in evidence today, and the ones I saw were rather skittish and didn't hang around to have their picture taken. However, I did see a few butterflies, including this beauty. My original intention was to have a short walk and then go on to the "Y" for a swim, but it was so nice walking in the sunshine, I went for a longer walk instead!
