Saimaa Canal

Now I'm in Lappeenranta with my sister. One of her hobbies is geocaching, which we did first thing. This is at the Saimaa Canal, which connects Lake Saimaa  to the Gulf of Finland near Vyborg, Russia. The Canal has 8 locks and is 43 km (27miles) long. The snow has mostly melted, the temperature is hovering near 0 C ( 32 F).
