Hen do in Harlesden

Harlesden wasn't quite the location we had in mind for start of Ms P's hen weekend!

Fate, heavy rain, autumn darkness and a rapid awareness that canal boat are slow espicailly when 'driven' by a group of virgin sailors. So it was Harlesden, rather than the splendor of Little Venice, that we moored on our first night. We salivated as the cookie dough smell of the Mc-Vite factory outside.

It was surreal, perhaps more so as we were on a hen weekend, that we were the only women on the streets in this part of the capital.

I took this picture on the top deck of TFL's 224, as we tried to find a restuarant in the area. We were bemused at how difficult this was in the north London area. We eventually found a tapas. A welcome find as we were literally moments from turning back to the boat with pasta supplies from a petrol station.
