Made in 1848

Today the walking group headed to Clyde, and walked from there down the true right of the Clutha River towards Alexandra.  This blip is of some of the group looking at the old drill for gold mining that was made in 1848.

The first extra is of our lunch spot, and the second extra is of the old restaurant where we had a cold drink after such a HOT walk.  +31C.  Fifteen of us there today.  We walked 8 k's all up.  We enjoyed the nice shady trees alongside the river.  On the way home most of us bought fruit from the fruit stalls on the side of the road.  Summer is here.
