Christmas Parade #1

Our little Cub Scout Merrick got to ride in his first parade tonight. His cub scout troop rode in a big truck, and threw candy to the huge crowd. Unfortunately, we were on the wrong side of the street, and didn't get to see him.

I titled it parade #1, because...on successive nights...we have dueling parades. Tonight's parade was in Linden (5 miles from our house), and tomorrow nights parade is in Fenton, our hometown.

Amazingly enough, Santa and Mrs. Claus show up for both parades. (Makes you wonder where they hole up for the night. ???)

Fireworks on both nights. Always hard for me to photograph (especially without a tripod.)

MERRY CHRISTMAS! HO HO HO!!!

P.S. I asked Merrick later if he "nailed" anybody with any of the thrown candy. He didn't want to answer, but then he smiled and said..."I did hit one grownup right in the throat."

I had to remind him of Santa's naughty list. ;0)
