Lady Sage Days

Loose ends

Today the social worker phoned to say if I was happy and everything was in place she would sign my case off and wished me luck.
The building society lady called to hand back the documents she needed the other day.
The fireman turned out to be a firewoman and she installed another smoke alarm in the living room so we've got one on the landing, one in the hall and one in here where mum sleeps. That wasn't too bad at all.
I've spoken to the live in carer and her English is good. She wants to know which station to get off at so I'll have to do something to show her that somehow.
I've spoken to the nurse and she's said next week's Pre op shouldn't take more than an hour but book a sitter for two hours to save worrying and rushing.
I didn't have a good night last night but I slept fairly well but didn't feel refreshed when I woke.
I've ordered two food deliveries nearer to Christmas.
Carers start on Monday evening.
Spoke to my GP this morning and got the main woman. She made out a prescription for something to take the edge off my anxiety.
A friend of mine will be collecting them and visiting me later as she's going to stay at the Waldorf in London over the weekend as part of a local trip advertised.
I'll be having another agencies assessment on Monday for the 60 hours sitting service I can have when I need it organised by social services.

Looking forward to a peaceful weekend. I get a bit tense when I know the Macmillan line won't be available from 8pm and over the weekend.

It all feels like I'm going out on a trapeze and making sure the safety nets are in place first. Yikes.
