And we're off ...

... 1st December marks the first day of the community advent calendar. Each day from now till 1st January 2018 (stretching advent a bit but who cares) someone's window in our little community will be lit and decorated. Today, as last year, the Day Centre went first and was open to visitors for the switch on. Mince pies were on offer too. The Primary School has a couple of dates, the Council office takes 25th and the rest are just people lighting their windows and welcoming neighbours in. It's such a lovely idea and makes sure that this dark month has plenty of twinkling lights and neighbourliness. There's even a map so that we can walk round admiring the decorations. We're doing one but not for a couple of weeks. Cameraman will again be recording the whole month.
