is it a pepper moth?

This little fellow and his sibling appeared on the berries of the abelia yesterday. since I have no time to wade through thousands of pictures on the 'net I am taking a stab at its species.

That lead me to the Truth in science website where I wasted far more time that I would have done looking up the danged thing in the first place, however I did along the way have my first ever zither lesson.looked into the national curriculum, found out why we behave oddly in lifts, and researched Irish setters. when people ask me what I do all day they can't believe it when I say I haven't a minute to spare!
