Trondheim, again!

We have revisited Trondheim on the way south, as we have done with all our northbound ports of call. We docked at 6.30 and sailed at 10am, which was the time this picture was taken. A nippy morning, but a very different scene from yesterday.

I wasn’t sure what time the shops were due to open, but as I had made a purchase last time, a bundle of fat quarters, I decided to leave it at that!! I always like to buy material on trips, so that the things I make have extra sentimental value. It’s not that I’m short of material…..never!!!

This is our last full day on board so the chore of packing will need to be done this evening. The one good thing is that the cases don’t have to be outside the cabin until 10am tomorrow, very civilised.

This has been a great trip, with the exception of my ‘flying lesson’, but even that has been an experience and taught me lessons. I will say more about the trip when it is completed.

One of the young ladies that I met on the ship was wearing a beautiful cardigan. I asked if she had knitted it herself, but unfortunately for me the answer was no. It had been a present from Ireland. She was very keen that I have a series of pictures, her mum is a designer and she said that ‘her mum would want that amount of detail’, so that I could investigate the chance of getting a similar pattern.

I have put 2 pictures in extras.

If any of my blip friends who are knitters can point me in the right direction to find something similar, I would be most obliged. It looks to me like an arrangement of blocks of cable patterns all in one garment!! A challenge……but who doesn’t like a challenge ? :0))))

If I felt brave I could print off the pictures and work it out on graph paper, but the tricky bit would be getting the collar right. Think of all that work, only to find that it didn’t fit or the collar didn’t sit properly. Not an option.
