What a difference the sun makes!!

The sun shows its face for a very limited time, but the reflections as it emerges makes for interesting patterns on the mountains.

We just managed to get to breakfast by 10am, by which time we had crossed the arctic circle, and lunch by 2pm today!!! But did lots of things in between.

I have discovered that hot showers every 4-6hrs helps with pain management, relaxing the muscles. The shower area is tiny, suits me as there is no fear of falling over and there is no shortage of water in this part of the world!!

My crab blip from a couple of days ago has a sad ending from the point of view of the crabs. They have all gone :0(  I didn’t eat any of them, honest!! For as much as I enjoy crab and lobster, I don’t want to have talked to it and made friends with it beforehand.

The temperatures have been about 2 degrees for the past couple of days, but feels a lot colder when out on the deck taking photographs. It must have snowed during the night as there is a snowman on the upper deck. No lights last night. We weren’t woken and I discretely checked to make sure we hadn’t missed anything.

Two gentlemen are working on our phone at present trying to resurrect it. Fingers crossed.

Our time is running out for decent Northern lights, only two more nights on the ship before we get back to Bergen.

I posted yesterday's blip this morning, so 2 today. If you are following our journey and would like to see some of the local houses, jump back a day :0)
