Bad Habit

Milkshake appearing to be interested in how my book ends reminded me of a bad habit I once had when I was a teenager - reading the ending of any  book I had just started. I think I just wanted to be reassured that the ending was going to be a happy one so I could read the emotional parts secure in the knowledge all would come right in the end. Thankfully this was a brief phase - possibly due to teenage hormones?!
Luckily this book The Cleaner Of Chartres, had a happy ending!
