Sanding Slave

Spent the afternoon in the Turb Team workshop today as a 'Sanding Slave' as my friend DB described me!

My task was to sand one of the ailerons to remove the old dope (glue) and create a nice smooth surface before we start doping on the new fabric soon. A few evenings are planned to get ahead with the work as we plan to get the aircraft back in the air by next season.

Mugs of tea with bacon and egg sarnies for lunch but we left some bacon for the Gliding Club stray cat who licked his lips with joy! See extra photo. DB nicknamed him Turb Ratter...don't ask I have no idea what that means!

Wrapping up warm tomorrow as I'm helping out my friend ClaireandPal on the Medical Detection Dogs charity stand at the Christmas Market.
