Afternoon on George Street.
We had a lovely day at the singing workshop - a full house, and lots of new songs. As there don't seem to be many Scottish carols as such, our teacher Mary had set some Christmas poems to music for us to experiment with. Her tune for 'The Bee Carol' by Carol Ann Duffy was very beautiful.
Around 3.30, we emerged into a sparkling but cold dusk and got the bus into town to walk along George Street and take our first look at the Christmas extravanza.
Every year there's something different. The tower which takes brave people up I don't know how high - much too high for me - and then drops them down in about two seconds, is in George Street this year.
The light installation is not as elaborate as last year's, but the sunset tonight made up for the lack of drama in that department.
Home now, and nearly thawed out.
