Casentino clouds
Warmer days and clouds down in the valleys as I breast the Consuma at 3,000ft.
An exhausting day burning stuff, cutting back the cut back stumps. By three o'clock I was finished. Went to bed on my return and read a biography about Coleridge.
With brambles and blackthorns there is always that temptation, at some point in the day (usually the exhausted fag-end of it) to work without gloves. It is a disaster.
