Galerie des Ponchettes

I'm in Nice for a few days, with Chris and Martin, going to see Nice v Lyon on Sunday. After a very early flight we spent the day exploring the old town.  These are the Galeries des Ponchettes, two rows of former fishermen's cottages between the old town and the sea. 

We climbed to the top of the Colline de Chateau, for a great view of the Vieux Port. The super yacht is the Quantum Blue, which cost Russian oligarch Sergey Galitskiy USD250 million three years ago.

Elsewhere, there were grand, colourful buildings in the New Town, plenty of statuary, a very well-cleaned flower market, after closing time and a Chelsea supporter beset by pigeons.
